Common Name: Hollyhocks
Latin: Alcea Rosea
These are wonderful as they will generally bloom the first year they are planted. This is a wonderful mix of semi-double and single blossoms. They can winter over to zone 3.
Harvesting the flowers makes a colorful herbal tea that is really good for a couch. Mix dried flowers with some of our Mountain Mint as a relief remedy for the common cold, or just a wonderful herbal tea.
