| Wonderful Cullinary or Medicinal Herb for the Garden Allium tuberosum | | | | Description | Welcome!
Common Name: Garlic Chives
Latin: Allium tuberosum
When I think of chives, the first thing that comes to mind is a mound of them sitting on top of my sour cream topped potato! There is no substitue for the fresh ones!
This ancient herb contains a mustard oil that is sulpher rich, it is commonly used to aid in digestion and improves blood flow. Not to mention it tastes wonderful.
These are of the onion family, and unlike regular chives these really do taste a lot like garlic. Just grap some sissors and add them to just about anything that might have garlic in it.
